Protein: read the meal before choosing a powder

“Protein” does not make a product automatically necessary or suitable. Begin with eating patterns, objectives and health constraints.

Look at the meal before the powder : Food, Powder. Conceptual illustration; see the guide for explanations and sources.

Describe existing sources

List meal components: pulses, eggs, fish, meat, dairy or other choices. Powder is an additional product form, not a mandatory breakfast category. Individual need cannot be inferred from an advertisement or a photograph of a physique.

Compare the actual product

For a powder or bar, examine ingredients and values per serving. A larger serving provides a different quantity despite an identical slogan. Serving price, taste and portability can be assessed separately. Our label calculator performs arithmetic; it does not determine your needs.

When to seek individual advice

Sport, kidney disease, eating difficulties or medical care call for tailored advice. Sports supplements can carry risks, and a mixture’s composition needs checking. We offer neither a grams-per-kilogram target for everyone nor systematic meal replacement.

EXAMPLE / HOW TO USE IT

Compare two formats

For each product record: amount used, protein per 100 g, protein calculated for that amount, its price and ingredients. Use the same units. This describes products; it does not prove that adding a serving will cause weight gain or loss.
