Lentil, tomato and lemon salad
For a base to share, use cooked, drained lentils, two tomatoes, herbs, some oil and lemon to taste. Chop tomatoes, combine with lentils and season. Add bread if desired. Lentil quantities and served portions depend on the number of diners and appetite. Lemon contributes flavour; it does not turn the salad into treatment.
Vegetables, chickpeas and rice
Cook rice according to its packet. Sauté an onion in a little oil, add chopped vegetables and cook to your preferred texture. Add cooked, drained and rinsed chickpeas and heat thoroughly. Serve with rice. Frozen vegetables and canned ingredients simplify busy evenings. Season with culinary spices without adding concentrated supplements.
Toast and a vegetable omelette
Cook the selected vegetables before adding beaten eggs; continue until the omelette is fully set. Serve with bread and washed raw vegetables. Tofu with vegetables is an alternative, without claiming identical composition. Adapt ingredients to allergies and follow storage guidance. Leftovers require appropriate refrigeration and reheating.
EXAMPLE / HOW TO USE IT
Organise two evenings
Prepare enough vegetables for two uses: a sauté on the first evening and an omelette the next, if storage is appropriate. Record missing components for each meal instead of making two independent lists. This procedure saves work; it is not a weight-loss trial.
