GLP-1: preparing tolerability follow-up

Monitoring is more than weighing. Medicine information and prescriber instructions help distinguish routine questions from situations requiring medical contact.

Prepare to discuss tolerability : Record, Observe, Discuss. Conceptual illustration; see the guide for explanations and sources.

Read the correct leaflet

Use the leaflet for the prescribed presentation, not another brand containing a related molecule. EMA information for Wegovy describes common digestive effects, among others. Consult complete frequencies, warnings and precautions in current official information. A short website list cannot replace the leaflet.

Agree on what to do before difficulties occur

Ask whom to contact about troublesome effects, which signs need prompt advice and how other treatments should be managed in your situation. Severe or persistent abdominal pain, significant vomiting, difficulty staying hydrated or sudden vision changes warrant medical contact without waiting for the next appointment. For immediate danger, contact emergency services. These examples are not exhaustive.

Record without self-prescribing

Record the symptom, onset, progression and medicines taken, then share these with the clinician. Do not change quantities, combine products or substitute a medicine based on an online comment. Dietary advice and treatment adjustments belong within individual follow-up.

A note for your clinician

“Symptom began Tuesday, has persisted, affects meals and drinks; other treatments: list attached. What should I do?” A precise account assists assessment. Our template stays on your device and collects no health information.
