Bananas and weight loss: should you exclude them?

A banana is neither an automatic obstacle to weight loss nor a fat burner. Excluding fruit solely because of its sugar reputation oversimplifies eating.

What to expect

A banana is easy to carry or include in a recipe. When comparing whole fruit, a drink and a banana pastry, examine the entire product. The same fruit does not make them nutritionally identical.

Two uses, two meals

Carry a whole banana or slice one into yoghurt with oats. The second is a food combination; it does not prove that a banana alone is insufficient for everybody. Choose the format suited to the planned occasion and other available foods instead of permanently labelling it “fattening”.

EXAMPLE / HOW TO USE IT

An example to adapt

Use a ripe banana in a homemade preparation chosen for taste. Note the other ingredients instead of assigning the whole dish’s value to the fruit.
